FASTER,FITTER,FUNNER!

SWIMMING FOR EVERYONE

POOL SQUAD TRAINING

Our 2026 Training Squads are now open for booking!

This is where the magic happens. Our Swim Nation adult squads aren’t your typical swimming groups. Sure, the sessions are structured, purposeful, and designed around seasonal blocks to build endurance, improve technique, and prep you for open water season. But that’s just the surface. The real magic? It’s in the people.

We’re a squad of everyday swimmers — most of us middle-aged, not ex-elites — who show up for the challenge, the support, and the good craic in the changing rooms after. Some are working towards their first triathlon or long-distance event. Others are training for the English Channel (yes, really). Most of us are somewhere in between — learning, laughing, pushing ourselves more than we thought possible.

The vibe? No judgement, no egos, and no “you should be faster” energy. Just quality coaching (with a side of cheeky banter), a community that lifts each other up, and a coach who knows when to push you — and when to quietly hand you your confidence back. We don't just swim together. We grow together. And we’re glad to have you on board.

NOVICE

New(ish) to swimming or coming back after a break? You’re our people. We start where you are—no judgement, just patient coaching and small wins that stack. We’ll build water confidence, breathing rhythm and front-crawl basics so sessions feel calm, doable, and (yes) enjoyable. If you’ve had a wobble or a rough past experience, we’ll rewrite that story together.
You’ll focus on:
• Feeling safe and relaxed in the water
• Simple, effective technique foundations
• Gentle, structured sessions that grow belief

SKILLED

You can swim and you want more. Maybe you’ve done a triathlon, a masters group, or a few open-water events. Now you’re after better mechanics, sustainable speed, and smarter sessions. Expect clear feedback, premium video analysis when useful, and training that tunes pacing, stroke efficiency, and open-water skills like sighting and drafting. You’ll focus on:
• Technique refinement and stroke economy
• Purposeful sets and pacing strategies
• Open-water confidence: sighting, starts, lines

EXPERIENCED

You’re race-ready and chasing edges. We’ll help you sharpen the details—stroke efficiency under load, tactical open-water decisions, and repeatable race execution. Think targeted 1:1s, race-specific blocks, and video analysis to fine-tune form so your hard work shows up on the start line.
You’ll focus on:
• Marginal gains in technique and efficiency
• Race craft: packs, positioning, and decisions
• Optimised training blocks that keep you progressing
Whichever lane you’re in, there’s a spot for you at Swim Nation—supportive, challenging, and built around belonging.

* Requirement for all squad levels: Must be able to swim 200m continuously, maintaining side breathing with the head submerged in water.
